This is a project made available by The City of Walnut Creek with Walnut Creek Downtown Library’s opens jury submissions by artists for annual exhibitions in theLibrary Community Art Gallery, Part of the Arts, Recreation and Community Services Department which is administered by Bedford Gallery under the direction of the Walnut Creek Arts Commission.

I am ginny mangrum, and I have thoroughly enjoyed organizing this project featuring some very talented photographers. I put out an open call in 2012 to artists for this exhibition, themed Favorite Places to ignite inspirations of local artists who photograph images taken within the Contra Costa County. It is a community spirited venture and has produced beautiful perspectives of four different locations, styles, and points of view within our beautiful county.

We hope you will take a drive out to see us if you live out of the area, or drop by any time while the show is up - 7/10/-8/31/13. See details above.
